About the Library

Set in the beautiful village of Sanbornville, New Hampshire, the Gafney Library is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves the towns of Wakefield and Brookfield.

We offer programming for all ages and social activities for the whole community! Library cards are free to Wakefield and Brookfield residents. Out-of-town cards are available for purchase.

To provide the Gafney community with an inclusive resource center providing programs, services, and collections that promotes literacy, fostering creativity and lifelong learning. The library preserves and promotes universal access to a wide range of human knowledge, experience, information, and ideas in a welcoming and supportive environment.
