Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Sudoku? Join us on National Sudoku Day and where you can learn the basics of the game! 

Southern New Hampshire Ukulele Group is visiting the library to host a beginner ukulele workshop. Whether you're just starting out or have some prior experience, this workshop guarantees a fun and engaging experience for everyone. Ukuleles will be provided for participants. SNHUG’s primary purpose is to provide a forum for area “ukesters” of all levels to share & play songs, learn techniques and form friendships while learning more about everyone’s favorite instrument.

 Join us for a fun day of self-expression and creativity! In this fun hands-on craft, we’ll be turning oatmeal containers in gnome houses!

It’s National Rice Krispies Day, and we’re celebrating with a tasty little treat!

Stop by the library and grab a free Rice Krispies treat while supplies last.

Because sometimes the best library days come with a little snap, crackle, pop!

There’s nothing better than fall in New England! Join us for a taste testing challenge! Do you like sour or sweet apples? Come try both and vote for your favorite. 

Please join us, and the members of the Ladies of the Lake Quilting Guild, on Saturday, September 19th, from 10:00-12:00pm, for a reception.

The exhibit can be viewed during the library's open hours during the month of September. 

It’s talk like a pirate day! Stop in and make a pirate craft! While you’re here, see if you can you find the treasure Ms. Susan’s hid in the youth space!

Calling all teens—Stop by the library and get creative with our DIY Locker Magnet Craft!

Design and create your own one-of-a-kind magnets to add some personality, color, and fun to your locker. Whether you’re into cute, colorful, funny, or totally unique—we want to see what you come up with! Come create, customize, and make your locker stand out! 

Let’s celebrate these amazing, intelligent, and oh-so-adorable animals! Stop by the library and get creative with us! Youths will have the opportunity to make their very own Elephant Splash Collage!

Join us for a special art inspired movie night!

We’ll be showing:

1954's A Star is Born (Rated TV-PG), with the Academy, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award winning Judy Garland!

Popcorn will be provided.  

Commas, periods, question marks, exclamation points…oh my!

Punctuation helps our words make sense—and today, we’re putting a little creativity into it, too!

Stop by the library and celebrate Punctuation Day with us! Youths will have the opportunity to create their very own punctuation necklaces.

Jessica Kinzlmaier will discuss the importance of nutrition in managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. She will also share practical ideas for healthy meal planning and preparation on a budget, with the goal of providing realistic, helpful strategies that community members can use in everyday life.

Once a month, September - December, 2025, a Community Resource Coordinator from Tri-County CAP will be spending a Friday at the library to meet with anyone who may have questions or need assistance with services.

Some services they can help with is fuel assistance, transportation, housing, free diaper program, free winter clothing and more.

No appointment is needed, just stop by the library during the date and time of visit.
