Community Tie-Dye Event at the Gafney Library

August 1: Community Tie-Dye Party

Come on down and celebrate the last day of Summer Reading and make your own tie dye t-shirt. This community event is FREE and open to all!

All materials will be provided by the Gafney Library while supplies last! DATE: Saturday, August 1st
TIME: 10am–Noon

All materials will be provided by the Gafney Library while supplies last. If you would prefer to tie dye an item of your own, you are welcome to do that too!

If you want to bring your own item, here are a few tips:

  • Best items for that would be bandanas, pillowcases, t-shirts, socks, or canvas bags.
  • Natural fibers work best (like cotton, linen, rayon, bamboo, or silk)
  • If the item is new, be sure to pre-wash it to remove sizing (and skip the fabric softener! Things like that will coat the fabric and prevent the dye from getting in there.)
