Our friends at the Wolfeboro Public Library have put together a great collection of links to help kids with homework and school projects.
They have tabs for Language Arts, Science, Math, and Social Studies. (These links are great for homeschoolers, too!)
Invent, create, solve, and explore! The PBS Kids site is LOADED with fun videos, games, and interactive activities. Make music, art, and stories, solve puzzles, and go on adventures with your favorite PBS characters!
The Cyberchase site is perfect for young innovators! It's loaded with fun games and activities that encourage creativity and problem solving. You can also download free apps and watch full episodes on the site.
The NASA Kids Club is full of fun games (like Rocket Builder!) that involve critical thinking and problem solving. They also have an excellent Student page with space info and really cool hands-on projects!
Audiobooks & eBooks
Looking for e-books and audiobooks? Overdrive has a page just for kids! It includes kid-specific ebooks, audiobooks, comics, and graphic novels.
Overdrive also has a collection of Read-Along books – a combination ebook-audiobook that highlights each word as it's being narrated!

Inspired by the beloved Mister Rogers, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood follows 4-year-old Daniel and his family as they learn to navigate school and life. The site has games, read-along stories, songs, and videos.
For your little scientist, Sid the Science Kid combines comedy and music to promote curiosity, exploration, and discovery in kids age 3-6. The site features counting, sorting, and other problem solving games!

The Smithsonian Kids website is loaded with games, activities, hands-on projects, and craft ideas, all while learning about art, history, and innovation!
You can also get to know the animals at the National Zoo and try out their interactive 3D digitized collection, which includes Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit, the life cycle of a star, and this woolly mammoth!
National Geographic Kids has games, activities, and more for pre-K through 8th grade. They have entire sections on animals (birds, mammals, prehistoric, you pick!) and a really fun science lab that you have to try!
Knowledge is power! TIME for Kids helps kids become informed about current events and the world through grade-appropriate news articles. (There are sections for K through 6.) You can also listen to the articles.
A fun take on storytime! Storyline Online is a project of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation where actors read children’s books along to animated illustrations. Ray Romano, Seth Meyers, Lily Tomlin. Meryl Streep... Fun!!
